So...we got a second swing set, yes, the first one got destroyed in a wind storm. Major is excited about the new backyard toy, but Dad thought it was a little hot to be assembling a swing set in July! We have already had friends over to enjoy it. There are a few little things that need to be finished on it, just minor though, like adding a roof and the SWINGS! Here are some pics....

4th of July Tradition

Every year for the past 22 or 23 years we have been going to my grandparents for an old fashion picnic to celebrate the 4th. It is filled with fun, friends, games, food and of course the best fireworks show I have ever seen!!! We enjoyed it just the same this year, here are some pics.

This summer I had the pleasure of being in Robyn's wedding. She made a beautiful bride and I loved to be there for a wonderful milestone in her life. I am excited for her and Bryan and wish them the best. Here are some pic's.

Jeremiah 29:11

A verse that is sewn into baby blankets and used when those feel lost or confused about the happenings in their lives. An amazing and uplifting verse...

"For I know the I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

It is the truth and we must remain faithful. The verse that immediately follows it is also so true and explains how we should always seek the Lord!
Jeremiah 29:12...

"Then you will call upon me and come and PRAY to me, and I will LISTEN to you. You will seek me and find me when you SEEK ME WITH ALL YOUR HEART."

Reading this reminds me that I need my God, and that I am nothing without him, and though at times I think I can do it all by myself, this reminds me that first I must seek him and all great things will follow!!
