We'll Just Jump From Summer to Christmas

So I am not the greatest at updating my blog!  If anyone even looks at anymore...  This year has been a world wind of changes with added blessings and lack of sleep!  Addyx is now 8 months old and Beckett is 2 months old and Major, well he is the best 5 year old big brother!  We are all so ready for Christmas this year, between Sean's family and miine we have added 6 new little people this year!  Hope that everyone has been blessed this year and has a happy new one!

Summer

Wow....  it's been a hot one!  Really there is no reason to even be outside unless you are in the pool...  We have had an eventful last few months with lots of changes. The kids and I try to get to the pool just so we can get out of the house!  Here are some pics from this week!

I'm not SUPERMOM

So I have decided that keeping up with a blog and two little ones and working...is not easy!  But here is a little update of the last month.Addyx is now 2 months old, she is 12lbs 8 oz and 22.5 in long....yes she is only 3lbs lighter then her 10 MONTH old cousin!!!  We are so in love with her, we are still trying to figure out her tummy

issues, but besides that she is so amazing!

Her First Party!

Aunt KK and Aunt Manda through Addyx a welcome home party this past Sunday and we had a blast!  Everyone got to come and meet her and welcome her to the family!

Update on our little angel

Oh my goodness!!  We are so beyond blessed with this baby girl, she has already stollen my heart and her daddy's!  Major is so protective and PROUD to show off his little sister and give her lots of kisses, it makes me cry, it is so sweet!

Family Fun

Last Sunday we had to get out and enjoy the beautiful weather!  We had a great moring at Lake Grapevine.  Major had a blast walking the trails and having a picnic.  It was a great day!!

Life is Life and sometimes people make it hard....

Life is good! Right.... I would say for the most part it is, it is a blessing, that’s for sure! Sometimes though it seems really hard, even in the midst of the good.... My point? Well that has to do with how you make others feel.
Whatever happened to the "If you don't have anything nice to say then don't say anything at all" rule? What, you hit a certain age and you just through that one out the window. You are allowed to think whatever you want, but the key is you don't have to say everything you think! So, yeah, maybe I am a little oversensitive at times, and maybe I don't always think before I speak, but I am going to try harder. I want to make others feel good and uplifted as they walk away from our conversation, not doubting themselves or hurt by something I said.

Words are powerful, people!

Spring....are you here for good???

I am enjoying the wonderful weather, but is it here to stay?? I sure hope so! Spring is one of my favorite times of the year, why? Well it is simple; I am tired of being cold and looking at the dead grass, plants and trees. I am ready for life and color! Even still 65 feels a little chilly to me, I know that is crazy, but it’s the truth. If it can just stay near that temp or higher, I will be great! At Pop's and Nana's it is time for the cows to have their babies, the chickens to start laying eggs and the weather to be nice enough to enjoy the barn before the flies and heat of the summer!

This spring could bring extra joy to our family, as we are planning on adopting and it is looking like April may be the month. We are still in the process, but we have high hopes and are praying that this is it! Of course there is alot out of our control, but we can wish and pray for the best, which is what we will do! Thanks to everyone that has been supportive and praying for us, that is awesome! We will try to keep our blog updated with the progress.

Also thank you for all the prayers for Sean's dad.... He is home and doing better now that he can breathe! He will start his treatment on Monday and it will be about a 7-8 week process. You can stay updated on him by reading his blog, see link to the right!

Valentine Camping Trip

Last year we went camping with some friends for valentines day and had so much fun we did it again this year!  It was cold, yes, but we couldn't have asked for a more perfect day on Saturday!  We started out on a hiking trail and somehow, actually on purpose, we ended up climbing up the back side of the mountain!!!  Yes, even the guys said they were a little worried that we were with them, but we did it and it was so much fun!!  Our reward was the amazing experience at Meer's...beer, burgers, and amazing cobbler with icecream!

Something new at our house...instead of reading David and Goliath or the story of Sampson over and over, we decided that we would start at the beginning and read  new stories every night!  It has become a very special time...and as you can see Major thinks it is so fun!  As I sat and watched last night I teared up thinking of what a blessing these two are to me, THIS is what life is about!!!
