Celebrate Roanoke

We took Major to Celebrate Roanoke, it is a little festival on Main St in Roanoke. We had a lot of fun and the weather was great.

Work ? Vegas ? Work ?

At the beginning of October I had to go to Vegas for a tradeshow we were doing for work, luckily Sean came along and we made a vacation out of it! It was so nice, although we missed our little buckaroo, to go on a date every night!! I had never been before so between work and late nights I was exhausted and so glad to return home. Here are some pics...

Country Bumpkin

Well I am sure glad God knew what he was doing when he gave me a boy...
We made a trip out to my parents place in West Texas (AKA Pop's Land) and Major always seems to have so much fun! It was still kinda scary this time of year due to snakes, but we managed not to come across any. Major did everything from shovel cow poo to helping the big boys fix the deer feeders. We enjoyed the weekend, but really can't wait to go back out when it is a little colder and we can have a camp fire and the bugs are GONE!!

We are still here....

We have been so busy that we have so much to put on here I just don't have time. It will all come at once, the minute I have time it will be blog central and you will be caught up on the last month of our life. Hope all is well!

So tonight the Moore family thought we would get out of the house and head to Cabela's. Well, that is Major's FAVORITE place, it is his candy store..."Mom look at this, What is that, Lets go see this and that..." He runs to every new place we go.

Tonight our trip went from normal to an "OH CRAP" moment. Major and I were looking for Daddy and we found him in the dressing room, Sean asked me a question and for a second my focus was off Major...oops...I turned around he wasn't there. I looked behind the rack, nope...called his name, nothing... heard another child, thought it was him, no...Then I went straight to the fish tanks at the front of the store and he was sitting on some sort of tackle box just talking to himself and was about to get up when I called his name. He looked up with this "What Mom?" look, like everything is OK. I just picked him up and went back to the dressing room and sat down, I didn't know what to do or say.

Sean talked to him for a bit and when I came to my senses, I asked if he has learned about strangers at school? The answer was No, so I proceed to explain that sometimes they seem nice, but can be mean and take you away. I wasn't trying to scare him, but his little eyes welled up with tears, he looked up at me and said, "BUT MOM, GOD WILL ALWAYS BE WITH ME." !!! I mean as a parent what do you say to that? He crawled in my lap and I just gave him the biggest hug. After all the commotion, we made our way to get a snack and then head home.

I love the challenges that we face and the lessons we learn. The innocence of a child is such a great gift.

Mom's 50!!!

This weekwnd me along with my sister and dad, and all that attended, pulled off a suprise on my mother. We threw her a suprise 50th birthday party on Friday night and she was truly cought off guard and we loved it! There were alot of people there that have been apart of my Mom's life over the years to celebrate with her!



Most of the time we get cought up in getting older and think of all the negative thoughts that go with it, but really it is a great thing. With age comes wisdom and life. We should all hope to get old one day and do things we get to live to talk about!! Here are some pictures from the party...
